Hello Year 6! We all hope you had a lovely, long weekend!! Did any of you join in with the VE day celebrations? We hope some of you enjoyed some of our VE day activities! There are a few things we want to let you know about home learning this week.
The first is, the topic task will be a week long project based on happiness. The information for this is below (topic task), but we will not be uploading any more topic tasks for the week, as this is a project for you to carry out all week! We hope you enjoy it!
The second thing is, in writing we will be focusing on recipe writing. This will involve you making something on Thursday and then writing your own recipe for this on Friday, if you are able to do so. The food you will be making is called 'A massive chocolate head'. For this you will need the following ingredients: 1/4 of a normal pack of butter, 160g of golden syrup, 100g of drinking chocolate, a selection of sweets (haribos, licorice allsorts etc) and a box of rice krispies (or try experimenting by using any cereal you have at home). If you are unable to get the above ingredients for this recipe, you can choose something else to make and then write instructions for this instead.
We hope you enjoy your home learning this week and remember anything you want to show off to us, please email in to Peterhouse! :-)
