Assessment is a big part of being a student and being a teacher! We use assessment everyday, to find out how your child is performing, what they know before we teach a topic and how well they remember what we have taught them. Over the past year we have worked hard to find the types of assessment that suit our children and get the most out of them. Our teachers have been completing research projects in to teacher feedback and we have even been working with internationally renowned expert and author, Shirley Clarke!

Besides this formative assessment, there are times when the government requires us to perform statutory assessments. There are several statutory assessments for your child throughout their primary school years. These are:
Year 1 - Phonics Screening Check
Year 2 - end of KS1 SATs
Year 6 - end of KS2 SATs
