Dear Parents and Carers,
please don't feel like you HAVE to do all the tasks or all of them all at once. We are just giving you some ideas of things that your child might enjoy doing whilst the school closures are in place. There is no pressure from us to do more than you are able to do.
Please do try to practise reading, writing and counting with your child when you can. This can be done as part of your daily activities e.g. a two minute timer on your phone while they brush their teeth, matching socks when doing the laundry, counting steps as you go up and down stairs etc.
There are lots of online resources that your child can do and will enjoy. Watching educational programmes such as Numberblocks and Alphablocks are great too, especially if you can watch together and talk about what's happening.
Remember we are here to help if you need us.
During the school closures, Nursery and Reception children will be using Tapestry for their home learning.
In Reception, each parent and carer has had a new child(!) added to them. That "child" is called Home Learning. We will add activities or tasks as an observation for "Home Learning". We will explain what you can do to help your child. When you have completed the task, if you wish to, you can add what your child has done as a new observation. This will be a new observation for your own child. Please do not add "Home Learning", thank you.
Unfortunately, Tapestry struggled on the first day of School Closures (Monday 23rd March). Lots of parents from all over the UK were trying to access it at the same time. We will add the same tasks here as PDFs for you to read.
