I spent 33 years teaching in a number of primary schools, delighting in nurturing children of all abilities, helping them to learn and develop. I was a Deputy Headteacher for 5 years and a Headteacher for 8 years, giving me an understanding of the challenges of leading and managing schools.
Now I am enjoying my retirement, helping to look after my four young grandchildren. I am an active member of St Nicholas church, Bradwell and through this, I am also a governor at Homefield VC Primary School. When I heard about the vacancy for a governor at Peterhouse Primary Academy, I decided to apply – I started my teaching career at Peterhouse Infant School many, many years ago! I am pleased to be able to play a part in helping the Academy to grow and flourish.
