Have a look at this cute photo of a tiny dragon. Answer these questions in your book (in full sentences):

The Statement, Command, Question, Exclamation Sentences Song

Here is Anchor Creative Education's song about the four sentence types in the Year 2 curriculum: statement, command, question and exclamation. Learn the types, ready for tomorrow's challenge.

Maths 

Today's topic is Money.

Remind yourself of all the coins and notes (see below for a video)

 

UK Coins Explained for Kids - Maths Money Learning Video

Activities to choose from: 

 

Activity 1: Ask your parents politely if you can borrow some money. Can you identify all the coins?

Can you make 50p? Can you find a different way to make 50p, using different coins? Try this for different amounts.

 

Activity 2: Could you make your own shop? Make some tags for different objects around the house (make sure your parents are happy with the objects you are using) and then see if you can make the correct amount using the money to buy the object.

Seven Continents Song

A song to help children learn the 7 continents in order from largest to smallest. Have fun and try not to get this song stuck in your head!

Science- Growing 

Have a go at growing your own vegetables! Take a photo each day so you can see your plant's progress or you could even make a diary, with pictures. Some might take longer than others but there are lots to choose from.

Miss Carter and Mrs Bensly are going to have a go as well! We will keep you updated on how it goes!
